BirdLife Australia Spring Camp 2017
The camp was held for a week in late September and early October in fine weather with many plants in flower. Birds and other wildlife were abundant and active.
Early morning mist. View to the east from south of the camp area.
Buff-rumped Thornbill foraging among daisies.
Red Wattlebird nestling waiting to be fed by distracted adult.
Patience rewarded.
Sometimes when taking photos of plants, I don't see creatures in or on them until I look at the details of the picture later on my computer. Sometimes they are so blurry they are barely recognisable, but occasionally they are almost in focus. The insect in this photo looks like a crane fly, Order Diptera, Family Tipulidae. I have not yet identified the daisy plant.
